2024 Diocese of Redemption Convocation

In November 13-15, the Diocese of Redemption will be hosting the inaugural Diocese of Redemption Convocation. During this time we will gather with other church leaders from the Diocese of Redemption for a time of fellowship, training, and inspiration.

THE SCHEDULE

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • A diocese is a group of churches that serve one another under the oversight of a Bishop. Typically, a diocese belongs to a larger organization, or Communion. We are a part of the CEEC (Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches).

A convocation is simply a formal gathering of the people and clergy of a Diocese.

  • We will unpack Convergence with inspirational sessions focusing on the Evangelical, Pentecostal & Sacramental streams. You will hear from Guest Speakers Bishop Mike Owen, Presiding Bishop Quintin Moore and Crispin Fletcher-Louis, as well as DOR Bishop Sean Yost. Our hope is that you leave feeling refreshed, equipped and excited about the vision and future of our Diocese.

  • There is no charge for the Convocation; however, there is a cost. You are invited to partner with us and make a donation to cover the expenses for this event. You may do so through the “Give” link on our website by selecting “Convocation Donation.”

  • The sessions during the day are designed for clergy, those pursuing Holy Orders and those serving on a church staff, but the evening sessions are designed for and open to anyone!

  • Dinner on Wednesday and lunch on Thursday will be provided on-site for registered attendees. Lunch on Friday will be provided for those participating in the Ordination Service. There will also be an hors d’oeuvre reception following Friday’s Ordination. Light refreshments will be provided during breaks.

Looking for a restaurant recommendation? Favorite local spots nearby include V Pizza, Valley Smoke, Barbara Jean’s, Palm Valley Fish Camp, Tropical Smoothie & Panera.

  • Childcare for children 6 weeks - 5th grade will be available for the evening sessions. Registration is required and can be found here.

  • Ordained clergy are asked to collar for all sessions. If you are not clergy, business casual attire is appropriate.
